dag 168 Felicitatie

Ik kreeg een smsje dat een goede vriendin vandaag haar rijbewijs heeft gehaald. Daar moest natuurlijk een kaart voor gemaakt worden.

De auto gestempeld in paars op heel glad papier, en met en blender pen de inkt laten uitlopen. Deze techniek geeft me het gevoel dat ik de inkt ten volle gebruik.
Daarna de auto gemaskerd. In de laadbak een fiets gestempeld, en die ook gemaskerd.
Daarna de grote struik in groen overal over heen gestempeld. Door het gladde papier is de inkt niet overal even goed gestempeld, en is de inkt ook niet gelijkmatig gedroogd.
Tenslotte het sentiment gestempeld.

This morning a very good friend texted me that she got her drivers licence. That asked for a card.

I stamped the car in purple on very smooth paper. With a blenderpen I coloured the car with his own colour. This technique gives me the feeling I really use the ink.
Than I masked the car, stamped a bike in the truck and masked that too.
I stamped the big flowerything in green over everything. Because the smoothness of the paper the ink didn't dry evenly, and dripped a little.
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment.

Dag 167 LIM Sketch

Ik doe nooit sketches, op een of andere manier krijg ik dat niet voor elkaar. Dus toen LIM een sketch had deze week, dacht ik Hmmmm. Maar gelukkig was de sketch helemaal binnen mijn mogelijkheden.
De hele dag dacht ik dat het iets met hartjes zou worden, in de kleuren Cherry Cobbler en Brides Blush. De kleuren heb ik aangehouden, maar het werden geen hartjes, maar bloemen.

Ik heb een strookje gesneden van First Edition papier. Daar heb ik de bloemen op gestempeld.
Die heb ik vervolgens gemaskered en de blaadjes om de bloemen gestempeld.
Toen heb ik dezelfde bloem en blaadjes nog een keer gestempeld op cardstock, en uitgeknipt.

Op een kaart van Brides Blush cardstock heb ik het sentiment gestempeld in Cherry Cobbler.
Daarna het strookje op de kaart geplakt. Doordat ik eerst het sentiment gestempeld had, kon ik het precies op de juiste plaats plakken.
Tenslotte heb ik de bladeren en de bloem met foamtape opgeplakt.

I never do sketches. I just doesn't seem to get the hang of it. So when LIM said it was a sketch this week, I thought: Hmmm. Luckely, this was a sketch I can do.
All day I thought it would be something with hearts, in brides blush and cherry cobbler. I kept the colours, but stamped flowers.

I cut a piece of First Edition Design Paper. I stamped the flowers on it, and masked them. Then I stamped the leaves.
Then I stamped the flower and leaves once more on a scrap of cardstock, and cut out.

On a card of Brides Blush cardstock, I stamped the sentiment. Then I attachted the piece of First Edition paper to the card. Because I stamped the sentiment first, I could position it just right.
Then I attached the flowers and leaves with foam tape.

Dag 166 Nog een kerstkaart

Toen ik bezig was met de Masked Sentiment kaart, kreeg ik nog een ander idee.
Ik heb eerst de auto gestempeld met rood, en de inkt laten uitlopen mbv een blender pen.
Daarna de auto gemaskerd en de kerstboom er in gestempeld. Het masker verwijderd en de auto uitknipt.
Daarne de auto op de kaart gelegd, en het eerste sentiment gestempeld. In diep rood (cherry cobbler) Zo kwam het sentiment en auto precies goed op de kaart. Daarna heb ik de kaart verder vol gestempeld met het zelfde sentiment in licht grijs.
Tenslotte de auto er met foamtape op geplakt.

While I was making the Masked Sentiment card, I thougt of an variation.
First I stamped the car in red, and coloured the car in with the ink, using a blender pen. This is a controled way to let the ink bleed.
I masked the car, and stamped the tree so it is inside the car. I removed the mask and cut the car.
Then I layed the car on the card,and positioned the first sentiment, which I stamped in red (cherry cobbler) This way the sentiment was in the right place when I finished the card. I stamped the card full with the same sentiment in a very light gray.
I finished the card by attaching the car on the card with foamtape.

Dag 165 Kerstkaart

De techniek van masked sentiments, bevalt me zo goed, dat ik er nog een kaartje mee heb gemaakt. En omdat ik dit jaar allemaal verschillende kerstkaarten wil maken, gelijk maar een kerstkaart. Volgens mijn lief ben ik gek dat ik nu al kerstkaarten maak. Ik denk dat je niet vroeg genoeg kun beginnen.

I like the Masked Sentiments technique so much, that I made another card in this technique. And because I want to make all kind of christmas cards this year, I made a christmas card.
My sweetheart thinks I am crazy, to think about christmas cards already, but you can not be early enought in my opinion.

Dag 164 LIM

Heeeel erg op de valreep heb ik toch nog iets gemaakt voor de LIM challenge van deze week.
Iets met snijden, was de opdracht. Dat vond ik al een moeilijke, maar met alles wat er deze week gebeurd is, zat mijn hoofd toch een beetje ergens anders.
Vandaag zocht ik door mijn stempels, op zoek naar stempels die ik voor de 80e verjaardag van iemand kan gebruiken, en toen zag ik deze stempel. Die is toch wel zo mooi, dat werd zomaar een valentijs kaartje.

De roos heb ik gestempeld met stazon, en ingekleurd met coloursoft pencils van Derwent.
Daarna heb ik om de roos heen een deel uitgesneden.
Achter het uitgesneden deel, heb ik de definitie van Valentijn gestempeld. Ik denk dat dit de felicitatie gaat worden voor mijn zus, die is dit jaar 5 jaar geleden op valentijnsdag is getrouwd.

Very much at the last moment, I made a card for the LIM challenge of this week.
Something cut, was the challenge. I thought it was difficult anyway, and with everything that happend this week, I didn't have any inspiration.
Today I was looking trough my stamps, looking for stamps I can use for someones 80th birthday. And then I saw this stamp, and since I love this rose, I thought it would make a beautiful valentine card.

I stamped the rose with Stazon, and coloured it with Derwent Coloursoft pencils.
Then I cut a some paper around the rose
Behind the cut-out I stamped the valentine definition. I think this will make a beautiful card for my sister. She married 5 years ago on Valentinesday.

Dag 163 Masked- Sentiments

Op de Stampin Companion CD, vond ik deze tutorial. Ik vind dit een geweldig idee. Dat moest ik natuurlijk proberen En toen ik toch een ronde stempel in mijn handen had, heb ik gelijk een poging gedaan. Ik ben gek op teksten, letters, woordbeelden, maar gek genoeg moest ik erg zoeken naar een serie tekst stempels, dat is iets om te onthouden en eens te gaan sparen.

De rondjes heb ik gestempeld met een Big and Juicy. Daarna gemaskerd. De teksten heb ik toen gestempeld in twee kleuren grijs. Voor de verandering heb ik eens clearstamps gebruikt. Niet mijn favoriet, maar voor deze techniek zijn deze eigenlijk meer geschikt.

On the Stampin Companion CD I found this tutorial. I think this is a great idea, and it had to be tried. When I had a circlestamp in front of me anyway, I tried it right away. I love characters, sentiments, words, but strangly enhough, I had to search for sentiments. That is something to remember, and I probably should start collecting sentiment stamps.


The circles are stamped with a Big and Juicy. I masked them and stamped the sentiments in two shades of gray. I used clearstamps this time, which I rarely do, but for this technique, they are more suitable than wood mounted stamps.

Dag 162 Elastiekjes

Voor de kicostampers was de uitdaging een elastiekjes techniek. Om een brayer wikkel je dan elastiekjes, en daarmee ga je over het stempelkussen. Dan krijg je een streepjes patroon.
Een grappige techniek, dat kan ik niet ontkennen, maar ik weet niet of ik er vaak gebruik van zal maken.
Ik heb de achtergrond gestempeld in 2 kleuren.
In dezelfde kleur blauw heb ik op een ATC een grote bloem gestempeld. Die heb ik gemaskerd, en er in blauw en oranje bloemen om heen gestempeld. Masker verwijderd, en een knoop op de bloem gezet. |Daarna heb ik met JustRite stempel blok de woorden Let's en Life gestempeld, het woord Celebrate, had ik zo als stempel. Ik heb de woorden uitgeponds met de word label punch van Stampin up, en als waaier onder de ATC vastgezet.

For Kicostamps was the challenge a rubberband technique. around a brayer you put rubberbands, and stamp with that. I like the technique, but I am nog sure if I will use it a lot.

I stamped the background with the rubberband technique, in 2 colours.
In the same colour blue I stamped a big flower on an ATC. I masked the flower, stamped in blue and orange around it. I removed the mask, and attached a button to the middle of the flower.
Than I made the words 'Let's' and 'LIFE' with a JustRite block, the word 'Celebrate' is a stamp. I cut the words with the word label punch and attached them to the ATC.
