The first saturday of the month, there is a colour challenge at LIM. Today the colour was 'gold'.
My first reaction was 'Christmas Card' but, although it is July, I didn't want to send in a christmas card again.
Besides, LIM always challenges me, to make something out of my comfort zone. So I needed to think of something else.
The rest of the day went by, doing usefull things, things like laundry, tidying and cleaning the house. And just when I went crocery shopping, I had an idea. Buttons. I must have gold buttons somewhere. A heritage from my grandmother.
Looking trough my button box, I couldn't find the button I was looking for, but I did found another gold button.
So I took out my Button Buddies stamp set, and found a snail. I thought is was a perfect match.
I stamped the snail on a card and heat embossed it with gold embossingpowder.
Then I masked the snail, and stamped the grass with use of a Stamp-a-Magic. The same way I stamped some flowers in the grass.
I coloured the flowers with paintmarker, and the leaves with a blender pen and the stamped ink.
Then I removed the mask, and attached the button as if it was the shell of the snail.
Finally I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.
