Dag 363 LIM Tearing

De uitdaging van LIM deze week is scheuren. Dat is een techniek die ik vaak gebruik, maar als het dan een uitdaging is, moet ik heel erg diep nadenken om wat te verzinnen.
En als het dan nog zo warm is als vandaag gaat het helemaal langzaam.
Ik heb de achtergrond gescheurd, en de randen geinkt. Daarna heb ik de stempel op de ondergrond gestempeld, en ingekleurd met Paper Piecing.
Ik was bijna klaar, en toen was het tijd om te gaan. Onze Texelse Olympisch kampioen, Dorian van Rijsselberge werd gehuldigd. Natuurlijk wilde wij daar ook bij zijn.
Mijn dochter van 3 vond het zo spannend dat ze uit eindelijk net zo lang 'Dorian' riep tot ze een hand kreeg.
Thuis eerst even afgekoeld, en daarna het kaartje afgemaakt. Geen tekst, want ik kon niet bedenken waar ik die moest zetten zodat het nog wat toevoegd aan het kaartje. Zonder gaat heel goed vind ik.

This weeks challenge at LIM is tearing. This is a technique I use reguarly, but when it is a challenge, I really have to think how to use it. And when it is hot, like today, thinking is a very slow proces.
I teared the background, and inked the edges. Then I stamped the image on the background, and coloured it in with paper piecing.
And then, when I was almost finished making this card, it was time to go, and cheer our own Texel Olympic Champion, Dorian van Rijsselberge.
Our 3 year old daughter was calling out 'Dorian' very loud, and as a result, she got a handshake!
At home, I first had to cool down, before I could finish the card.
No sentiment. I couldn't think what to stamp, and were to put it.

Dag 324 Paper Piecing???

Helemaal verliefd ben ik, op mijn nieuwe Unity Stamp. wat ik nu bedacht had, maakte dat ik er ook de hele dag, tussen de bedrijven door, mee bezig was. Maar het resultaat mag er zijn denk ik. Ik hoor graag wat jullie er van vinden.

Totally in love am I, on my new Unity Stamp. Because of what I wanted to make, I could play with it all day, when I wasn't busy with the normal household activities.
I really like the result. Comments will be much appreciated.

Dag 308 LIM Paper Piecing

Dat was grappig, kijk ik gisterenochtend LIM, is de uitdaging Paper Piecing, dat was net wat ik een dag eerder gemaakt heb. Het eerste idee was niet helemaal goed, dus toch maar een kaart gemaakt voor mijn zus, die vrijdag haar 4e Conservatorium diploma gehaald heeft.
Het sentiment is ook gekleurd met Paper Piecing.
Al de stempels zijn Stampin Up.

That was fun, when I looked at LIM yesterday morning, I saw the challenge is Paper Piecing, just what I made a day before.
The first idea did not work out, so I decided to make a celebration card for my sister, whom got her Bachelor Organ on Friday. The 4th Conservatory degree she got.
Even the sentiment I did with Paper Piecing.
All the stamps are Stampin Up. 

Dag 307 Kerstkaart

Een tijdje terug heb ik me voorgenomen om van elke nieuwe techniek die ik leerde een kerstkaart te maken. Vandaag heb ik dat gedaan met de Te gekke krijtjes.
Eigenlijk heb ik 2 kerstkaartjes gemaakt, maar 1 ligt nog te drogen.
Deze is gemaakt met de stempels die ik op de Bijenmarkt in Leiden bij Inkerbelstamps heb gekocht. Geweldige kerststempels zijn dat.
Ik heb de stempel ingekleurd met paper piecing. Ook een van mijn favoriete technieken. De achtergrond is gemaakt met de Te gekke krijtjes.

A while back I I decided that I would make a christmas card with every new technique I would pick up. Today I made a christmas card with the 'te gekke krijtjes'. Actually I made two, but one is still drying.
This one I made with the stamps I bought on the Beemarket from Inkerbel stamps. Great christmas cards these are.
I coloured the stamp with Paper Piecing, one of my favorite techniques.

Dag 269 Vogel

Voor een kaarten ketting, met het thema Vogel heb ik dit kaartje gemaakt. De techniek is hetzelfde als een kaartje van vorige week. Dat zie je hier Het vogeltje is paper piecing, een techniek die ik maar leuk blijf vinden.

For een chain of cards, with the theme Birds, I made this card. The technique is the same as I used here The little bird is made with paper piecing. I love that technique.

Dag 259 Hortensia

De layered masking technique leerde ik bij Technique Junkies. Ik heb er een variatie op verzonnen. Ipv de ondergrond met zwart te stempelen en daarop te sponsen, heb ik de ondergrond gestempeld met Perfect Resist. Daarna de frames gesponsd Vervolgens die gemaskerd en daarna de achtergrond gesponsd. De Hortensia is een Stampin Up set, en die heb ik met Paper Piecing gekleurd. Ik ben in een Paper Piecing stemming geloof ik :-)

The layered masking technique, I learned at Technique Junkies. I thought of a variation. Instead of stamping a background in black and sponging on it, I stamped the background with Perfect Resist. Then I followed the layered masking technique. I masked the frames, and sponged the background. Then I finished the card. I used Paper Piecing to make the Hydrangea. I am in a Paper Piecing mood I think. The stamp is Stamping up.

Dag 222 Boofle

Wat een leuk nummer in de titel vandaag. Al weer 222 dagen, moet nodig een nieuwe uitdaging gaan verzinnen, iemand een idee?

Het wordt hoog tijd dat ik wat tijd vrij maak voor mijn monster projecten, want die schieten niet erg op op het moment. Bovendien moet ik komende week 3 kaartjes maken voor challenges.
Maar vandaag heb ik met Boofle gespeeld. Ik heb een achtergrond gemaakt met puzzelstukjes. Ik heb een stempels van een puzzelstukje, en die heb ik aan elkaar gestempeld tot een puzzel.
De stukjes heb ik in regenboog kleuren ingekleurd. De hele puzzel toen uitgeknipt.

Boofle zelf heb ik 3x gestempeld op 3 kleuren papier. Ik heb boofle, zijn hoofd en zijn snuit uitgeknipt en op elkaar geplakt (paper piecing)
Boofle met foamtape op de kaart geplakt, en een sentiment er naast gestempeld. Dit is een tekst die ik gekocht heb omdat hij zo helemaal mijn jongste dochter beschrijft, maar ik vond hem ook goed bij Boofle passen.

What a fun number is in the title today. It has been 222 days I am doing this, I need to find myself a new challenge soon. Anybody an idea?

It is time I make some time to finish the two big projects I am making, because there is not much going on there at the moment. I also have to make 3 cards for challenges this week.
But today, I made a Boofle card. I made a background with jigsaw pieces. I do have this stamp with one piece, and I stamped that so that it made a jigsaw puzzle. I coloured the puzzle in rainbow colours. And cut out the puzzle.

Boofle himself I stamped 3 times. On 3 pieces of paper. I cut out his head, nose and boofle and put it together (paper piecing)
I attached Boofle to the card with foamtape. I stamped a sentiment on the card.
This one I bought because it describes my daughter just as she is, but I thought it worked well with Boofle aswell.It says 'Sweet, Frolic, piheaded, Sturdy

Dag 97 Vogels

Een verjaardagskaartje. De achtergrond is gemaakt met de scheerschuim techniek. Te zien op kicostamps. Omdat dit zo leuk is om met de kinderen te doen, heb ik een berg achtergronden daarvan om te gebruiken. De kleuren op de scheerschuim achtergrond zijn voedingskleurstoffen,

Ik heb de vogels op de achtergrond gestempeld, en vervolgens op wit, rood en geel papier. Daarna heb ik de verschillende onderdelen uitgeknipt, en op de stempel geplakt. De hartjes zijn uitgeknipt uit hologram papier.
Paper piecing. Ik vind dat zo leuk om te doen. Die techniek gebruik ik toch regematig.

De Happy Birthday stempel is een wiel. De blokjes zijn in gekleurd met metalic gel pennen, en op de rondjes heb ik met een hotfix glimmertjes geplakt.

A birthday card. The background is made with the shavingfoam technique, which you can see at kicostamps. Because this technique is so much fun to do with the kids, I do have a lot of backgrounds. I use foodcolours with this technique.

The birds I stamped onto the background, and than on white, yellow and red paper. Cut the different part out and glued them on the background. The hearts are made with holografic paper. Paper piecing, I love that technique, and use it regularly.

The Happy Birthday stamp is a wheel. I coloured the blocks with metalic gelpens. and glued stones onto the rounds using the hotfix.

Dag 74 Paper piecing

Paper piecing met stempels. Soms vind ik dat gewoon leuk om te doen.
Deze kaart 'woonde' al een paar dagen in mijn hoofd, maar ik had geen tijd gehad om hem (of haar misschien wel) te maken.
Daarom vanavond, toch nog maar even gemaakt.

Stempel gezet op de kaart. Het lijfje ingekleurd met Derwent coloursoft. Toen het hoofd en haar stempeld op bruin gemarmerd papier. Het lijfje gestempeld op roze papier.
Het haar en kleding uitgeknipt en op de stempel geplakt.

Paper Piecing with stamps. Sometimes I just like doing that.
This card existed inside my head for a few days now, I just couldnt found the time to make it.
That's why I made it tonight.

I stamped the pin up on the card, and coloured the body with Derwent Coloursoft. Then I stamped the head on brown marbled paper and the body on pink paper.
I cut out the hair and the clothes and glued them on the stamp.
