Dag 319 ATC

Ik ben dol op Stampin Up stempels, en die koop ik geregeld op veilingsites. Zo ook deze set. De verkoopster had de set op dun EZ mount gezet. Aangezien ik mijn stempels liever op hout heb, heb ik ze weer op hout gezet. Maar dan is het prettiger met dik foam er tussen. Het dunne EZ mount heb ik dus van de stempels afgehaald. Die van het autotje was er heel van afgekomen, en had ik op tafel geplakt.
Vanavond dacht ik, misschien kan ik er wel wat mee. Dus heb ik een ATC gemaakt, en de auto op het EZmount ingekleurd.
De achter grond is gekleurd met Distress inkts.

I love Stampin Up stamps, and buy them regularly on auction sites. That's were I bought this site. The previous owner had put the set on thin EZ mount. Because I like my stamps on wood, I mounted the set on wooden blocks. But that works better, if there is some thick foam between stamp and wood.
So I had to take the thin EZ mount off.
The car came of in one piece and was on my table for the whole day.
Tonight I thought it would be fun to use the EZ mount on an ATC.  I coloured the EZ mount with sticker markers. Then I made a background with Distress inks. I used a brush, did some sponging, and stamped with distress ink.

Dag 279 Fase 1

Vandaag heeel erg hard gewerkt aan een serie kaartjes die mijn zus bedacht heeft. Eigenlijk had ik ze al af willen hebben en op de bus, maar helaas lukte dat niet. Alles maar dan ook alles wat ik probeerde mislukte. Gelukkig ging het vandaag wel goed, eindelijk lukte wat ik wilde, en ik raakte ook nog in de flow waardoor het ook nog snel ging. Per kaartje heb ik 4 handgesneden ATC's gemaakt. Wat neerkomt op een heleboel snij werk. Dus kan ik weinig laten zien van hard werk vandaag.

Today I have worked really hard on a invitation card for my sister. I wanted to have them finished earliers, but everything, really everthing I tried went wrong. Luckely today I had an idea that worked. And then I got the flow aswell so it went smootly. I cut for every card I make 4 ATC by hand, which means, a LOT of cutting. So not much to show, for a lot of work.

Dag 276 Lijm

Om 10 uur vanavond kreeg ik ineens een idee. Met het lijmpistool een lijmplas maken, even laten drogen, en dan een stempel erin drukken. Daarna met metalic chalk insmeren om eea een kleurtje te geven. Het is niet een techniek die ik zelf bedacht heb, ik ben hem jaaaaaren geleden eens tegen gekomen in een Creating Keepsakes. Het kostte een hoop lijm om eea uit te proberen maar deze is toch wel aardig gelukt. De stempel is niet helemaal scherp afgedrukt in de lijm, en de kleur pakt ook niet helemaal goed. Ik denk dat deze stempel te gedetailleerd is voor deze techniek. Maar de andere stempel die ik probeerde, minder gedetailleerd, werd niet mooi. Dit moet ik nog een paar keer proberen, maar voor een poging ben ik niet ontevreden.

At 10 PM tonight I got an idea. Make with a gluegun a gluelake. Let it dry for a moment, and push a stamp into the glue. Then colour the glue with metallic chalk. It is not a technique I thought of, I found it years ago in a Creating Keepsakes. It took a lot of glue to try out this technique, and althoug I am not completely satisfied this is not bad. The image is not totally crisp in the glue and the colour didn't stick everywhere . I think the stamp has to much detail. But the other stamp I tried this technique with, made even een worse impression. I think I have to practice some more. For the first try, I think I did not bad..

Dag 273 ATC kaart

ATC's zijn erg handig om op een kaart te gebruiken. Ook dat doe ik graag. Bij deze heb ik een zwarte ATC gebruikt, en daar de Black Magic techniek op toegepast. Dit blijft toch een van mijn favoriete technieken. Ik heb een Fresh Vintage(SU) half op de ATC gestempeld, en ingekleurd met alcohol markers. Daarna heb ik er met glazen rondjes op gestempeld. Op de basis kaart heb ik dezelfde stempels met zwart gestempeld, en de ATC precies op de stempel gelegd. Nu is de halve stempel op de ATC weer compleet. Tenslotte een tekst gestempeld.

ATC's look very well on a card. I like to use them that way. For this card I used a black ATC and used the Black Magic technique. This is really one of my favorite techniques. I stamped a stamp out the Fresh Vintage set (SU) partly on the ATC. Heat embossed it with white embossingpowder, and coloured it with alcohol markers. With glasses I stamped circles on the ATC. On the base card I stamped the same stamp in black, and I put the ATC exactly on the stamp, so now the stamp on the ATC is complete again. I stamped a sentiment in the corner.

Dag 266 ATC

Voor een uitdaging moest ik een kaart maken met een niet eerder gebruikte stempelset. En er mee bezig zijnd, kreeg ik zo veel ideeen, dat ik ook nog een ATC gemaakt heb met dezelfde set. Deze set is dus niet meer ongebruikt. Gebruikte set: Best of Everything.

For a challenge, I had to make a card with a stampset I hadn't used before. Making this card, I got so many idea's with this set, that I ended up, making this ATC. This set is no longer 'never been used' Used set" Best of Everything.

Dag 252 ATC

Ik merk dat ik steeds vaker een ATC maak. Straks ga ik nog ruilen ook. Zou ik een nieuwe hobby hebben? Deze begon als ATC om een technieken boek te maken, maar werd een gewone ATC. De achtergrond is gemaakt volgens een Technique Junkies techniek. met Chalk. Ik ben dol op chalk, maar gebruikte het te weinig, omdat het effect zo afgeeft altijd. En met een fixeer vind ik het weer minder mooi. Maar met deze techniek blijft het wel goed zitten. Dus gebruik ik eindelijk mijn Chalk op. Er op zitten Maya Road clipboard embellishments. Ik heb de schaar en de naald met Shimmer paint zilver geschilderd, en het klosje met Hein design acrylverf wit. Om het klosje heb ik garen gedraaid, en de naald er tussen gestoken. De tekst is van Stampin Up, van een retired set.

I notice that I make more and more ATC's. I wonder, will I go swap aswell? Looks like I am getting a new hobby. This started out as ATC for a book about techniques. But ended as a normal ATC. The background is made according to a Technique Junkies technique. It is a technique which uses chalk. I love chalk, but I use it to little, because it won't stick properly. And fixer decreases the effect IMHO. In this technique the chalk does stick, so now I am using all my chalks. The embellishments are Maya Road. I coloured the siccors and the needle with Shimmer paint, and the bobbin with HeinDesign acrylpaint. On the bobbin I put some threat,and put the needle in it. The sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set.

dag 250 Cascading Images

Vanavond heb ik een Technique Junkies techniek geprobeerd. Uit de laatste nieuwsbrief. Ik heb eerst een stukje aquarel papier met glitter aquarelverf grijs geschilderd. Laten drogen. Daarna de schelpen er op gestempeld, en uitgeknipt. Daarna heb ik met een andere kleur glitter aquarelverf de accenten aangebracht. Op een ATC kaartje heb ik de tekst gestempeld , met blauwe versamark. Daarna de kaart in elkaar gezet. De schelp onderop is met 3D Foamtape opgeplakt. ( ik zie dat de foto wat donker is, mijn excuus daarvoor)

Tonight I tried a Technique Junkie technique. This is from the last newsletter. First I coloured a piece of watercolourpaper with grey shimmer watercolour paint. Then I stamped the shells. I cut out the stamps, and made some accents with an other colour shimmer watercolour paint. With blue versafine I stamped a sentiment on a ATC card. And put togehter the card. The picture is a bit dark, I am sorry for that.

Dag 245 ATC

Eigenlijk wilde ik een andere techniek uitproberen. Maar ik vond het effect van de witte embossing op het rode paper zo mooi, dat ik het erbij gelaten heb. Tis wel een erg simpel kaartje zo.

De boom is van Stampin Up. Thoughts and Prayers heet de set. Maar de teksten die erbij zitten, zijn hoofdzakelijk geschikt voor rouwkaartjes, en dat wilde ik niet.
Een van de mooiste teksten die ik heb, heb ik er naast gestempeld.

I intended to try another technique, but I was so pleased with the look of the white embossing on the red cardstock, that I decided to leave it like this. Really CAS.

The tree is Stampin Up. Thoughts and Prayers is the name of the set. The sentiments that go with it are more for sympathycards, and that was not what I wanted today.
I stamped one of the best sentiments I have next to the tree.

Dag 239 ATC

Omdat ik mijn stempels aan het uitzoeken ben, kom ik alle mooie stempels weer eens tegen. En zoekende naar de juiste sets, kom ik ook allerlei vergeten technieken en ideeen tegen.
Zo ook deze, een omgekeerde noem ik het. De stempel zetten, en de achtergrond kleuren en de stempel zelf ongekleurd laten.

Dan is een ATC een prachtige manier om zo een techniek uit te proberen. Dus dat heb ik gedaan. Ik heb de stempel gezet met Stazon, en de achtergrond gesponsed met twee kleuren Distress inkt.
En daarna nog een tekst gestempeld.

Because I am sorting my stamps, I see all the beautiful stamps again. And looking for the right combination in sets, I also find all kinds of forgotten techniques and ideas. Like this one, a backwards I call it. You stamp an image, and colour the background and not the image.

An ATC is a perfect way to try such a technique. That is what I did. I stamped the image with Stazon on an ATC, and coloured the background with 2 colours Distress ink. I stamped an image in the corner.

Dag 191 Nog meer cirkels

Als ik een leuke techniek heb gevonden, wil ik er altijd een paar kaarten mee maken, om te zien hoe de techniek met verschillende manieren, en kaarten uitvalt.
Dus heb ik van de week 145 cirkels gestempeld, en die uitponst.
Ik heb een stuk cardstock dubbelgevouwen, en de randen beinkt met een lichte roze kleur. Daarna de rondjes opgepakt. Ik heb niet echt een kleuren schema aangehouden, wat voor iemand met mijn behoefte aan symmetrie best een uitdaging is.

Toen dat klaar was heb ik een ATC gemaakt. Bij het maken daarvan heb ik expres niet de kleuren gebruikt die in de rondjes zaten. Zowel om het contrast groter te maken, maar ook vanwege de tekst die op de rondjes staat.

Voor de ATC heb ik eerst een tak gestempeld op een ATC. Daar ook een masker van geknipt, en de tak gemaskerd. Daarna heb ik een script half over de ATC gestempeld, een beetje scheef. En het geheel gesponsed met Distress inkt.

Voor de bloemen heb ik de tak nog 3x in rood op een stuk cardstock gestempeld, en de bloemen met een heel oude, heel kleine bloemenpons uitgeponst. Voor de hartjes van de bloemen, heb ik de hotfix gebruikt.
De bloemen heb ik met 3D lijm aan de ATC vastgemaakt.

When I learn a new technique which I like, I always make several cards with it. So I can discover if I like the technique in different ways.
So I stamped 145 circles this week, and punched them out.
I folded a piece of cardstock in half, and inked the edges in a very light pink. Then I glued the circles on it. I didn't do that in a kind of colour scheme, which is difficult for someone with a need for symmetrie like myself.

When that was finished I made an ATC. I didn't use the colours I used on the circles. Not only because there is more contrast that way, but also because of the text on the circles.

For the ATC I stamped a branch on an ATC. I cut a mask and masked the branch. I stamped a script half over the ATC, a bit out of line. And sponged the complete ATC with distress ink.

For the flowers I stamped the branch 3 more times on a piece of cardstock, and punched the flowers with a very old, very small flower punch.
I used the hotfix to attache some glimmer to the heart of the flowers, and attached them with 3D glue to the ATC.

Dag 71 Button Buddies

Deze set ben ik helemaal weg van. Vanaf de eerste keer dat ik hem zag. Toen hij dus eindelijk binnen kwam moest er mee gespeeld. Al spelende kwam ineens het idee wat er mee gemaakt moest worden.

De afbeeldingen op een ATC gestempeld, en afgemaskerd. Met knoopjes-stempels de achtergrond gestempeld. Tenslotte er knoopjes bij gezocht, en die vast gemaakt met een draadje.

Voor de kersen kon ik geen goede kleur knoopjes vinden, dus heb ik katoenen knoopjes beinkt met Cherry Cobbler.

This set I loved from the first time I saw it. So when it finally arrived I had to play with it. Playing I knew what I wanted to make with them.

I stamped each stamp on an ATC, and masked them. With Button-stamps I stamped a background. I searched for buttons to match the cards, and tied them to the card.

I couldnt find matching buttons for the cherry's, so I took two cotton buttons, and coloured them with Cherry Cobbler.

Weinig aan deze foto toe te voegen., een ATC. Gewoon omdat die bij me opkwam. Het basis kaartje vond ik bij het opruimen.

Dag 4

Met het koffertje, ontdekte ik de ATC. Die past er nl precies in.
Tot nu toe heb ik erg weinig op gehad met ATC, op de beurs in Zeist heb ik wel geen ATC formaat blikje gekocht, en de ATC stans van Tim Holtz.
Niet speciaal met de bedoeling ATC's te gaan maken.. Maar het komt er dus toch van.

Dit is 1 van de eerste. De techniek gebruikt op deze kaart staat in de laatste nieuwsbrief van Technique Junkies. Waar ik eerder dit jaar lid van ben geworden. Voor iemand als ik, een feest elke 2 maanden zoveel nieuwe technieken in de bus, dat ik niet eens tijd heb om alles uit te proberen. Heerlijk.
De techniek heet On the edge, en ik vind het eerste resultaat niet slecht.



With the suitcase, I discoverd ATC. This kind of card fits perfectly in the little suitcase.
Until now, I wasnt very taken with ATC. But still I bought an ATC tin and the Tim Holtz ATC die at the Artspecially Event in Zeist earlier this year.
Not especially with ATC-making in mind, but I am making them anyway.

The technique I used on this one, was explained in the latest Technique Junkie newsletter. I became a member earlier this year, and I love it! Every two months I get a newsletter with so many techniques I do not even have time to try them all.
