Dag 297 Kerstkaart

Na een heel gepriegel met kraaltjes vraag ik me echt af waarom ik nooit iets eenvoudigs en snels bedenk. Maar ja, als het dan weer af is, ben ik zo blij met het resultaat dat ik weer opnieuw iets verzin dat veel werk is.
De achtergrond is gemaakt met Goosebumps shimmer. Op de foto laat het zich niet goed zien, maar de achtergrond heeft een heel lichte glans. Deze Goosebumps zijn geweldig als resist.
Bij het sponsen met Distress inkt bleef de Goosebump prachtig wit.
Daarna heb ik de achtergrond bestempeld met een stempelwiel. En opzij gelegd omdat ik nog niet goed wist hoe ik de kaart wilde afmaken.
En toen kwam ik, bij een rondje boekhandel, een boek tegen over het maken van embellishments met kraaltjes en zilverdraad. Zo leuk, en na het systeem door te hebben dacht ik dat het mogelijk moest zijn om een kerstster te maken voor op de kerstachtergrond.
Het kostte een beetje puzzelwerk, en een heleboel gepruts met kraaltjes, maar het is gelukt.
De tekst is een Inkerbel stempel, die ik gisteren op de Bijenmarkt in Leiden heb gekocht. Ik vrees dat er meer Inkerbel stempels hun weg naar Texel gaan vinden, want ik heb weer een paar heeeel erg mooie gezien.

After a lot of fiddling with beads I really wonder why I never can think of something which is easy and quick. But when it is finished, I mostly are so pleased with the result that I think of something else to make, what is just as much fiddling.
The background is made with Goosebumps Shimmer. You can not see it really well on the picture, but this card really has a little shimmer. This Goosebumps is a real good resist.
When sponging with Distress ink, the Goosebumps didn't take up any ink at all!.
Then I stamped the card with a stamp wheel, and put it aside because I didn't know how to finish the card right away.
Then I found, when I did a little window shopping in the local bookstore, a book about making embellishments with beads.  I love this! And after understanding the basics, I thought it must be possible to make a poinsettia. It took a lot of trial and error, and even more fiddling, but I managed!
The sentiment is a Inkerbel stamp, which I bought yesterday when I was on the bee market in Leiden. |I am afraid more Inkerbel stamps will find their way to Texel, because I saw a lot of beautiful stamps yesterday..

Dag 292 ATC

Ben niet heel erg geinspireerd vandaag. Door van alles had ik vanmiddag ineens een pest humeur, wat gelukkig wel weer over ging na het eten.
Een paar nachten slecht, of iig te weinig slapen doen het creatief proces ook geen goed. Bovendien heb ik een bestelling gekregen voor het maken van een Amigurumi. Dus heb ik ook nog een tijd zitten haken vandaag.
Een ATC voor het blog gemaakt. De roze bloem is gemaakt met Papier Filigraan. De achtergrond is gemaakt met Goosebumps. Ik heb een beetje op een sponsje gespoten en daarmee een stempel beinkt.
een aantal keer gestempeld, en laten drogen. Gelukkig droogt de Goosebump snel.
Daarna gesponsd met distress inkt.

I am not in the mood for crafting today. Because of everything that goes on in my life, I had a bad temper this afternoon. Luckely it disappeared after diner.
I didn't sleep well for the last couple of nights, or at least to little, and that is not good for my creativeness.  Beside that all, I have been asked to make an amigurumi, so I have been busy crocheting this afternoon.
For the blog I made an ATC. The flower is made with quilling. The background is made with Goosebumps.  I sprayed a bit on a sponge and used the sponge to ink a stamp. I stamped a few times on an ATC, and set aside to dry.
Luckely it dries quickly.
Then I sponged it with distress ink, and finished the card.

Dag 290 Goosebumps

Vandaag heb ik voor het eerst gespeeld met Goosebumps, texture spray. Voor mijn eerste poging heb ik de goosebumps op een kaart gesprayed en laten drogen.
Daarna gesponsed en bestempeld. Ik vind het heel erg leuk spul. Ik heb ook nog shimmer en matte goosebumps gekocht, daar ga ik van de week ook maar eens mee spelen.

Voor de niet kenners, Goosebumps is een materiaal dat je op een kaart kan spuiten, en wat niet alleen zorgt voor een resist, maar ook voor een texture. Zoals je op de tweede foto kunt zien, blijft het op de kaart liggen, en geeft het texture aan de kaart. Het resist effect kan je op de eerste foto beter zien. Ik heb gestempeld met Stazon maar zelfs dat pakt niet echt op Goosebumps.  Waardoor het resist effect ook na het stempelen zichtbaar blijft.

Today I played with Goosebumps.  For my first try I just sprayed the Goosebumps on a card, and set aside to dry.
When dry, I sponged the card, and than stamped on it. I like this stuf. I bought Shimmer and Matte goosebumps to, have to try those later this week I guess.

For who doesn't know what Goosebumps are, Goosebumps is a texture spray. When sprayed it not only is a resist, but it also gives texture to the project. As you can see on the second picture the product stays on the card, and gives texture like that. The resist you can see better on the first picture. I stamped with Stazon and even that doesn't work properly on the Goosebump which is great because than you keep seeing the resist.
