LIM 82 1-2-3

Gisteren.morgen mijn boeken (de hongerspelen trilogie) uitgelezen en na het uitstuiteren en het huishouden, me weer op mijn creatieve zaken gestort.
Eerst maar eens opruiming houden, alle challenges waar ik me voor heb aangemeld, en nog niet gemaakt heb, afgerond. Daar kan ik natuurlijk nog niets van laten zien, want dat moet eerst bij de ontvanger aankomen.

Vandaag, eindelijk de LIM kaart van deze week. De opdracht was 1-2-3. En dat vond ik zooo moeilijk. Ik heb heel wat geprobeerd, en uiteindelijk deze kaart gemaakt.
1 koordje, 2 sentiment stempels, 3 geponsde onderdelen.
Het sentiment is 2x gestempeld over elkaar in 2 kleuren.
Natuurlijk een kerstkaart, het is bijna kerst, en ik moet nog een berg kerstkaarten maken.

Yesterday morning I finished reading my books (the Hungergames trilogy) And than I first had to get back to this world, and do some household.
Then I noticed I had to make some things for challenges what went by, and I forgot to make something for. With all challenge I was in time, but only just.
I can not show any of that yet, because the cards need to be received first.

Today, finally, my entry for LIM this week. The challenge was 1-2-3. It was a real difficult one for me. I tried lots of things during the week, and finally I came up with this:
1 piece of twine, 2 sentiments, and 3 punched parts.
 I stamped the sentiment 2 times in 2 different colours.
And ofcourse it is a christmas card. Christmas is right around the corner, and I still need a lot of cards.

dag 351 Kerstkaart

Het beginnen met een nieuwe baan, kost erg veel energie. Lichamelijk, omdat ik ineens kilometers per dag moet fietsen. Maar ook voor mijn hoofd. Ik moet ineens alles anders plannen, heb te maken met planning van alle kinderen  en ook van de gastouder.
Het creatief bezig zijn, is even een klein beetje minder op de voorgrond. Dat is tijdelijk, maar het is wel zo.
Vanavond weer een kerstkaartje gemaakt. Ik ben al een paar jaar vanaf Juli alleen in de stemming voor kerstkaartjes.

Starting a new job takes up all of my energie. Not only fysic, because I have to ride several kilometres on my bike all of a sudden, but also because I have to make a precise planning. For myself, for all my children, and it all has to fit with the planning my babysitter has.
Being creative is not on top of my list right now. I know it will be only temporary, but it is still true.
Tonight I made another christmas card. For a few years now, I am in the christmas card mood from the beginning of July.

Dag 348 Kerstkaart

Een mega simpel kerstkaartje. De dag was te gevuld, en ik te moe om echt inspiratie te hebben. Dit had ik al een tijdje in mijn hoofd. Niet helemaal zoals ik het in mijn hoofd had maar dit is ook leuk. Het idee werk ik later nog een keer beter uit.

A real simple christmas card. This day was too much, and I was too tired to have real inspiration. This one has been on my mind for a while now. It has not turned out as I expected. I will try again later. This is not bad either.

Dag 345 Kerstkaart

Wel een kerstkaart gemaakt vandaag, maar met andere stempels. De techniek is van Technique Junkies. Een van mijn favoriete technieken voor kerstkaarten (toch eens proberen of het ook werkt voor verjaardags kaarten)

I made a christmas card today, but with other stamps. The technique is Technique Junkies. One of my favorite techniques for christmas cards (I must try this technique for birthday cards aswell that might work)

Dag 341 Kerstkaart 5

Nog een kaart met dezelfde stempel. Dit is een techniek die ik op internet gevonden heb. Maar ik denk dat het een oudere techniek is , dat is wat er gezegd wordt op het filmpje Werkte erg goed bij deze stempel.

It works great with this stamp.

Dag 339 Kerstkaart

Het is zo een leuke stempel die ik van mijn vriendin geleend heb, dat ik er steeds andere kerstkaarten mee moet maken.
Vandaag heb ik de stempel met versamark op de kaart gestempeld, en geembossed.
Daarna de sterren ingekleurd met glitter acrylverf van Blonde Moments. En het lint met Glimmer Glam.
Daarna heb ik sterren gestempeld op geel papier en uitgeponsd en in 3D opgeplakt.

It is such a great stamp I borrowed from my friend, that I have to keep making christmas cards with it.
Today I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed.
Then I coloured the stars with sprakling acrylic paint by Blonde Moments, and the ribbon with Glimmer Glam.
Then I stamped the stars on yellow paper, punched them out and glued together in 3D.

Dag 337 Kerst cirkels

Met de cirkel techniek heb ik een kerstkaartje gemaakt.
De achtergrond papier heb ik bestempeld met een builder wheel.
Ik ben te moe voor een uitgebreid blog, ik denk dat ik maar gewoon ga slapen.

Dag 333 Shattered Glass christmas card

En om de afspraak aan mezelf trouw te blijven, een kerstkaart gemaakt met de van de week nieuw geleerde techniek. Shattered Glass.
Ook nu ben ik begonnen met een parelmoer kaartje. De inkt is de limited edition Distress ink. Dat is toch wel de fijnste inkt voor spons technieken vind ik.
Ik heb sneeuwvlokken gestempeld in donker blauw.
De tekst apart gestempeld en uitgeponsd. Daarna met een stukje foamtape opgeplakt.

To keep the deal I made with myself, I made a christmas card with the Technique Junkie technique I learned this week, Shattered Glass.
I started off with a Pearlisent card, and coloured it with the Limited edition Distress ink. I think that is the best ink for sponging techniques.
I stamped snowflakes on the background.
The sentiment I stamped on a seperate card, and punched it out. I attached it with a piece of foamtape.

Dag 322 Faux frosted window Christmas card

Ik heb me voorgenomen om met elke nieuw geleerde techniek een kerstkaart te maken (of 2) dus ook geprobeerd met de Frosted Window techniek.
De achtergrond is een Credit card techniek. Een paar druppels (acryl) verf op een kaart, en uitsmeren met een kaartje.
Dit soort technieken maak ik altijd in serie, zodat ik wat op voorraad heb voor kaartjes, en daar zit altijd een achtergrond in kerstkleuren tussen.
De strik is een Faux Bow. Ooit eens ergens op internet opgepikt, ik gebruik hem graag als ik een grote strik nodig heb.

I have the intention to make a christmas card (or 2) with every new technique I learn.
So I did that with the Frosted Window technique.
The background is called Credit Card technique. Which is strange, because there is not really a credit card involved.
Put a few drops of (acrylic)paint on the top of a card, and move it over the card using a plastic card.
This kind of techniques I always try out so I have a lot of background left. And there is always a christmas coloured one between them.
The bow is a faux bow, a technique I found on the internet one day, and I love to use it when I need a big bow.

Dag 310 Kerstkaart

Eindelijk de kerstkaart die lag te drogen van de week. Hij was al wel droog, maar er kwam steeds een ander iets tussen.

De achtergrond is gemaakt met de Te gekke krijtjes. Over een embossing folder. Eerst had ik de stempel gezet, en gemaskerd en daarna de achtergrond gemaakt.
De stempel is vervolgens ingekleurd met glitter, volgens een Technique Junkies techniek.
De stempels, zijn Inkerbelstamps.

Finally the christmas card that had to dry earlier. It was dry already, but there were other things to show.

I made the background with the 'te gekke krijtjes' I used an embossingfolder for it. First I stamped the christmas tree, and masked it. Then I made the background.
I coloured the stamp with glitter, in a Technique Junkies Technique.

Dag 297 Kerstkaart

Na een heel gepriegel met kraaltjes vraag ik me echt af waarom ik nooit iets eenvoudigs en snels bedenk. Maar ja, als het dan weer af is, ben ik zo blij met het resultaat dat ik weer opnieuw iets verzin dat veel werk is.
De achtergrond is gemaakt met Goosebumps shimmer. Op de foto laat het zich niet goed zien, maar de achtergrond heeft een heel lichte glans. Deze Goosebumps zijn geweldig als resist.
Bij het sponsen met Distress inkt bleef de Goosebump prachtig wit.
Daarna heb ik de achtergrond bestempeld met een stempelwiel. En opzij gelegd omdat ik nog niet goed wist hoe ik de kaart wilde afmaken.
En toen kwam ik, bij een rondje boekhandel, een boek tegen over het maken van embellishments met kraaltjes en zilverdraad. Zo leuk, en na het systeem door te hebben dacht ik dat het mogelijk moest zijn om een kerstster te maken voor op de kerstachtergrond.
Het kostte een beetje puzzelwerk, en een heleboel gepruts met kraaltjes, maar het is gelukt.
De tekst is een Inkerbel stempel, die ik gisteren op de Bijenmarkt in Leiden heb gekocht. Ik vrees dat er meer Inkerbel stempels hun weg naar Texel gaan vinden, want ik heb weer een paar heeeel erg mooie gezien.

After a lot of fiddling with beads I really wonder why I never can think of something which is easy and quick. But when it is finished, I mostly are so pleased with the result that I think of something else to make, what is just as much fiddling.
The background is made with Goosebumps Shimmer. You can not see it really well on the picture, but this card really has a little shimmer. This Goosebumps is a real good resist.
When sponging with Distress ink, the Goosebumps didn't take up any ink at all!.
Then I stamped the card with a stamp wheel, and put it aside because I didn't know how to finish the card right away.
Then I found, when I did a little window shopping in the local bookstore, a book about making embellishments with beads.  I love this! And after understanding the basics, I thought it must be possible to make a poinsettia. It took a lot of trial and error, and even more fiddling, but I managed!
The sentiment is a Inkerbel stamp, which I bought yesterday when I was on the bee market in Leiden. |I am afraid more Inkerbel stamps will find their way to Texel, because I saw a lot of beautiful stamps yesterday..

Dag 281 Nog meer Paper Casting

Vandaag nog een Paper Casting kaart. Nu ik eenmaal de smaak te pakken heb, ga ik nog ff door. Vandaag een kerstkaart. De engel is ingekleurd met Acrylverf van Ranger en Blonde Moment, en de jurk is ingekleurd met glitterlijm, sterk verdunt, waardoor er een mooie glitter ontstaat. Stempel is een clearstamp van een onbekend merk. Eigenlijk had ik een duitse tekst willen hebben maar die heb ik helemaal niet.

Today another Paper Casting card. Now I am in the mood of paper casting, I stick with it for a while. Today I made a christmas card. I coloured the angel with acrylic paint from Ranger and Blonde Moments. The dress is coloured with glitterglue, very much diluted, so now there is a beautiful glitter. The sentiment is a brandless clearstamp. I wanted a german sentiment, but it turns out I do not have any german stamps.

Dag 270 Christmas

In de laatste Technique Junkies nieuwsbrief, staat een techniek waarbij je gebruik maakt van stickers en glitter. Dat is natuurlijk de beste techniek om een kerstkaart mee te maken. En dat heb ik dus gedaan. Geen stempel gebruikt vandaag...

In the current Technique Junkies newsletter is a techniek which uses stickers and glitter. That is ofcourse the perfect technique to use for a christmas card. So I did. I didn't use one stamp today..

Dag 254 Kerstkaart

Bij het opruimen en reorganiseren vond ik mijn paper cast mallen terug. Het zat al een tijdje in mijn hoofd dat ik met paper cast wilde spelen en dat ik mijn mallen tevoorschijn moest halen. En toen ik ze tegen kwam bij het opruimen was dat een goed moment. Dus heb ik de kerstmallen er gelijk uit gezocht en apart gelegd. Afgelopen vrijdag heb ik heerlijk met papierpulp en water zitten kliederen. Alles te drogen gelegd, en gisteren de eerste serie uit de mallen gehaald. Niet alle mallen zijn even dik, en de ene mal is natter gebleven dan de ander. Niet alles is dus tegelijk droog. Vanavond de eerst gekleurd met aquarelverf en glitter aquarel. Accenten aangebracht met Perfect Pearls, en een piek van glitter. tekst is van Stampin Up, gestempeld met versamark en ge-embossed met vanille embossingpoeder.

When cleaning and re-oganising my stash I re-discoverd my Paper Cast molds. It was in my mind for a few weeks that I wanted to play with paper cast again, and finding the molds seemed like a good time to accually do so. So when re-organising the molds, I kept out the christmas molds, and put them aside. Last friday I have been playing with paper pulp and water. Then I put the molds to dry. Because not every mold has the same dept, and when I filled the molds net evenly wet, the paper cast will not be dry all at the same time. Tonight I coloured the first with watercolour paint and shimmer paint.I made some accents with Perfect Pearls, and the top of the christmas tree is made with glitter. The sentiment is Stampin Up, I stamped it with Versamark, and heat embossed it in Vanilla

Dag 223 Christmas card

Vandaag een Zentangle kaartje gemaakt, maar die moet eerst bij de ontvanger aankomen voor ik hem kan laten zien hier. Daarna moest echt nodig het verstelwerk gedaan worden.
En daarna nog een kaartje voor het blog van vandaag.
Zoals inmiddels gebruikelijk als ik het druk heb, een kerstkaartje. Het was even zoeken want ik wist dat ik nog ergens een achtergrond klaar had liggen. Maar waar had ik die ook weer opgeruimd???
Inderdaad, die had ik opgeruimd, ze lagen keurig in het doosje achtergronden. (soms ben ik zo georganiseerd.

Deze achtergrond is gemaakt volgens een Technique Junkies techniek. Chalked Emboss. Eindelijk een manier om chalk te gebruiken die me wel bevalt. Ook zonder embossing is het effect geweldig.

Een kaartje erbij gezocht (groen, want kerst) en dan... Kerstballen, maar niet met de originele stempel. Ik heb van al mijn ponsen en stansen een mal gemaakt dus het was makkelijk zoeken naar een stempel die paste in de kerstbal.
De ster gestempeld op prachtig goud papier (Action) en geembossed met groen glitter embossing poeder van Zing.
En uitgeponst.

Today I made a Zentangle card. But because that is for a challenge I can not blog it yet. First the receiver has to see it.
After I made the card, I had to do some repairs on cloth. That was long overdue, so I really had to do that first.
Then I had to make a card for my blog. And as it goes nowadays, I made a christmas card.
I had to search for the background, I knew I had one somewhere, but where did I put it??
I found it in the draw with backgrounds (sometimes I am sooo organised)

This background is made according to a technique Junkie technique, called Chalked Emboss.
Finally I have a way to use the chalks in a way that it works. Even without the embossing, it is great.

I looked for a card to go with it, (green, Christas) and than I wanted ornaments. But then without the stamp that goes with the punch.
I made templates for all my punches the other day so it was easy to find a stamp that fit the ornament punch. I stamped the star with versamark on gold paper (Action) and heat embossed the star with green glitter embossingpowder (Zing)
And punched out the ornament.

Then I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment,and punched out another ornament

I took a piece of threat and tied that on the ornaments and then hang them to the card.

Dag 221 Gnomes

Al een tijdje geleden besteld, viel deze gnome afgelopen week eindelijk in mijn brievenbus.
Daar moest een kerstkaart mee gemaakt.
De kerstboom had ik, voor dit doel, al een tijdje geleden gekocht.

de achtergrond is Tapelifting techniek met een chinese krant gemaakt. Die lag er al een tijdje, maar nooit tot een kaart geworden.
Gisterenavond de ATC gemaakt met gnome, kruiwagen en kerstboom. En opgeruimd.
Toen ik hem pakte vanmorgen, lag de ATC op deze achtergrond, en dat vond ik erg grappig. Dus verder afgemaakt vanavond (na een dag puin ruimen, knuffelbeesten uitzoeken en een boekenkast uitmesten. Tussendoor nog een paar kledingkasten gedaan)

Een tekst gestempeld met not quite navy en ingekleurd met gouden glitters. Uitgeponsd en met foamtape opgeplakt.
Het rode kaartje op een donkergroen kaartje geplakt. Geheel tegen mijn gewoonte is het geen dubbele maar een enkele kaart.

I ordered him a while ago and this gnome finally found the way to my mailbox last week. He had to play a role in a Christmas card of cource. A while ago I purchased the Christmas tree for this purpose.

The background is tapelifting technique with a Chinese newspaper. I had that for a while but it was not used until now. Yesterday I created the ATC with the gnome, the wheelbarrow and the tree. And cleaned up. I found it again this morning lying on this background and I thought that was funny. So finished it tonight after a day of clearing out the house, sorting out stuffed animals and a bookcase. And reorder a couple of clothing cupboards.

Stamped the text with Not Quite Navy and colored it with golden glitter. Punched it out then mounted it with foamtape. Glued the red card on a green one. A single card quite unlike my regular double ones...

Dag 213 Kerstkaart

Door het halen van de Showcase had ik zoveel adrenaline dat ik zomaar nog een kaartje gemaakt heb. Als ik geen bijzondere inspiratie heb, maak ik een kerstkaart. Niet dat dat zo eenvoudig is, maar daar schijn ik altijd wel inspiratie voor te hebben. Wat opmerkelijk is, als je bedenkt dat ik 4 jaar geleden niet eens kerstkaarten stuurde

Ik nam een rood kaartje, en stempelde daar met een stamp wheel een hulst motief op met groene inkt.
Laten drogen, en daarna het kaartje antistatisch gemaakt en er kerstbomen op gestempeld met versamark. Embossingpoeder over het hele vel gestrooid, en afgetikt. Doordat de inkt van de hulst nog niet helemaal droog was, bleef er hier en daar ook een korreltje embossingpoeder plakken, waardoor nu het een glitter blaadje is geworden.
het geheel met de heattool bewerkt. Een sentiment op een apart rood blaadje gestempeld, uitgeponsd. Het randje van het label bewerkt met groene inkt, en het label op de kaart geplakt.

Because the notification in the showcase, I had so much adrenaline, that I made a card.
Whenever I do not have special inspiration, I make a christmas card. Not that christmas card do not need inspiration, but I always seem to have that. Which is remarkable, when you know that I didn't even send christmas cards, 4 years ago.

I took a red card, and stamped a holly pattern on the card with a stamp wheel. Let it dry, and made the paper non static. I stamped christmas trees on the card with embossingpowerd.
I straw green embossingpowder over the entire card. because the ink of the holly wasn't completely dry yet, some embossingpowder stick to the leaves, and now the complete paper looks a bit glittery.
I heat embossed the card.
On a different red card, I stamped a sentiment, and punched it out. I used some green ink to colour the edge of th label, and attached it to the card.

Dag 208 kerstkaart.

Simpel kaartje. Op het kaartje sneeuwvlokken gestempeld met de season distress inkset.
De rode gebruikt om een kerstbal te stempelen.
Nog een tekst gestempeld met versafine. De kerstballen en de tekst uitgeponsd. Alles op de kaart geplakt. Ik had nog vaag het plan om er strikjes op te maken maar een proefje was niet mooi, dus maar zo gelaten.

Stamped a sentiment with versafine. Punched out the ornamants and sentiment. Attached everything to the card.
I thought about making a bow on the ornaments, but a test was not good, so I left that out.

Dag 202 Kerstkaart

Als ik toch bezig ben, gelijk nog maar eentje.

Toen ik een paar weken geleden mijn lade met papier opruimde, vond ik ook achtergrond kaartjes, waar nooit kaartjes van gemaakt zijn. Dit is er 1 van. Het kaartje is gesneden met een Lace mal. Daarna vastgemaakt op de basiskaart met 4 eyelets.

In het midden heb ik een ster gestempeld 2x, 1x met goud, en een beetje daarnaast een keeer met blauw. Er om heen een tekst. 4x dezelfde.

While I am at it, yet another one.

WHen I was reorganising my paper the other week, I found a lot of backgrounds, which never became a card. This is one of them.
The card is cut with a Lace template. Then I attached it to the base card with 4 star eyelets.
In the middle I stamped a star. once in gold, and than, slightly off in blue.
Around the Lace star I stamped a sentiment. 4 times the same one.

Dag 201 Kerstkaart

Als ik mijn kerstkaarten op tijd af wil hebben moet ik er wel regelmatig 1 maken. Vanavond maar een kaart gemaakt.
Rode kaartje is gestempels met Versamark Dazzle, en daarna een ATC kaartje er op geplakt.
Het meisje is een stempel van Penny Black, gestempeld met Stazon en ingekleurd met Derwent Coloursoft. De tekst is van een Stampin Up set, Snow Swirled, en gestempeld met stazon, en uitgeponst.
Het label is verhoogd op de kaart geplakt.

When I want to sent my christmas cards in time I have to make a christmas card on a regular basis.
I made one tonight.
The red card is stamped with Versamark Dazzle, then I attached the ATC on it.
The girl is a Penny Black stamp, and stamped with Stazon, and coloured with Derwent Coloursoft.
The label is Stampin Up "Snow Swirled" And stamped with stazon and punched out.
I attached the label with foam tape.
